Dr Geoffrey BuckhamThe practice of Dr Geoffrey Buckham, Urologist, is situated in the large regional city of Toowoomba, Queensland (Australia).

After a comfortable two hour drive west of Brisbane visitors enter Toowoomba's beautiful tree-lined streets. The centre of a prosperous rural community, Toowoomba boasts a range of facilities often found only in larger cities. The city is famous for its parks and gardens and hosts an annual festival in September called the Carnival of Flowers. It has a temperate climate with distinct seasonal changes and offers a range of hotel, motel and bed and breakfast accommodation and a host of good restaurants and cafes.

Dr Geoffrey Buckham MBBS (UQ) graduated in 1972 and went on to train in Urology at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada from 1976-1978. He returned to practice Urology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane obtaining F.R.A.C.S in Urology in 1980. Dr Buckham is a full member of the Urological Society of Australasia, a corresponding member of the American Urological Association and a Member of The Societie Internationale d'Urologie.

The professional roomsThe modern practice rooms are located at Suite 14, 9 Scott Street, Toowoomba on the eastern side of city. Patients requiring day hospital admission are treated at St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital a modern private facility where patients enjoy same day admission and discharge. The Hospital is located at 280 North Street, Toowoomba.







Dr Buckham's receptionPatients are greeted by Bev who responds to enquiries by phone, fax or email. Bev has worked in the practice as receptionist and office manager for 15 years and performs all the organizational, billing and quotation work. She can provide all prospective patients with complete details on costs of procedures including hospital fees.

Bev also assists in arranging accommodation for those patients coming from a distance and in getting information packages to prospective patients who require more about the procedures before attending. When not working Bev is a very keen quilter and enjoys being outdoors in her garden.

Lisa has nursing experience of 13 years duration and has worked in the practice on a permanent part-time basis for 3 years. She doubles as receptionist but is primarily the practice nurse assisting with diagnosis by the special tests of transrectal ultrasound and cystoscopy and urodynamic evaluation performed in the office. Lisa loves being a wife and mum and enjoys entertaining friends.
